Mr. Webb is a member of the Board of Directors of the Memphis based law firm of Gerrish McCreary Smith, P.C., Attorneys. Mr. Webb’s practice area focuses on corporate and regulatory representation of financial institutions, including negotiating mergers and acquisitions, raising capital and complying with securities laws and regulations, converting to Subchapter S status, negotiating administrative actions with federal and state regulatory authorities, evaluating officer and director compensation, analyzing management qualifications and ability, assisting with general regulatory compliance issues, and preparing applications to federal and state regulatory authorities.
He has prepared applications to obtain approval of mergers and acquisitions; charter de novo financial institutions; form bank holding companies; establish and relocate branch banking offices; obtain trust, securities, insurance and other powers; acquire operating subsidiaries; and obtain approval of other investment opportunities and structures.
Mr. Webb was a former commissioned National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Austin, Texas and Washington, D.C. Mr. Webb graduated Magna Cum Laude in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana. He obtained his Master of Science Degree concentrating in corporate finance and commercial banking from Louisiana State University. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Texas.
